Zoning variance

Well it turns out I will have to file a zoning variance because this warehouse space is zoned for industrial/light commercial. What does that mean? It means if I want to run a recreational sports business I will have to file a variance of use. Translation…6-8 weeks and almost $2000. I was told by the zoning manager that it shouldn’t be a problem getting it approved, but it will take some time and it will cost. What else is new.
