The AGR sponge thickness being reviewed is 2.0 Black, and it was used on the forehand.  First impression you get is how fast the rubber is even in 2.0.  Feels harder than 50 degrees, expecially when compared to Nexus EL Pro 50.  The surface is slightly tacky so it grips the ball very well and the ball dips violently on the opponents side when looping.  Not as spinny as Joola Golden Tango, but has more shot quality than above mentioned.

One thing that it really shines in is flat hitting underspin (if that’s what you like to do), and I do!  It’s also great for counter looping due to the rubber not being too sensitive to spin.  Serving is ok, better than average but not the best I’ve experienced.  I would recommend for players 2100 or better because it requires good technique and fast hand speed to get the quality shots you desire.
