The Freeze has been compared to the Butterfly Viscaria blade. which is another excellent blade. I’ve hit with the Viscaria and although it’s a fast high-quality blade, I prefer the Freeze due to it’s speed combined with it’s feel/control.
The Freeze is definitely an Offensive blade, but due to it’s good feel (vibration when ball hits), I felt like I could control it pretty well after a couple of weeks. I used to play with the Rossi Emotion PBO-C blade, another excellent blade, but after hitting with this blade I didn’t want to go back due to the increased speed.
Also the Italian-made handle is very comfortable and slightly larger than the Viscaria handle which makes it a better fit for my large hands.
The overall quality combined with high speed/control make this a great blade, especially for loopers and players that don’t like to backup from the table too much.
